The “School Peripheries” call for projects now open to the entire Gipuzkoa region
Tabakalera’s mediation area launches the 3rd round of an initiative geared towards implementing a collaborative art and education project in spaces within our nearby community.
School Peripheries is an open call to the education community which seeks long-term collaborative projects between Tabakalera and the education sector.
The third round of School Peripheries has a new facet: the call has been expanded to include a second modality aimed at schools across Gipuzkoa, thus responding to re-quests received from various locations across the province.
The main goal of this open call is to reflect on relationships between the school community and its immediate surroundings, and to strengthen these relationships through a mediation process linked to contemporary culture and artistic practices. It’s about understanding context as a place for learning and action.
Schools may submit projects based on a need or desire within the school context and which address relationships in the school's education community, common spaces (patio, park, walk to school, squares, etc.) or other relevant themes which the project seeks to take forward during the 2017-2018 school year.
The call is open until June 2nd. For the terms of the call and registration, vis-it tabakalera.eu.
The outcome will be decided by a panel of education professionals and will be published on June 15th 2017. The selected projects will be implemented in schools throughout the 2017-2018 session.
